The North Wood R-IV Board of Education met for its regular monthly meeting Oct. 14. In attendance included board members Jarred Brown, Jimmy Decker, Jenna Dunn, and David Massengale. Superintendent Jeff Dodson, Principal JC Flores, Mike Manes and Lois Stacy were also present. Board members Aaron Brooks, Ron Hedrick and Jr Rictor were absent.
Devon Pollreisz and Emily Roach attended, and Brown thanked them for coming. Pollreisz and Roach presented information to the board regarding Four Rivers and its ability to help with Medicaid and resources for the school.
The board discussed the strategic plan. Dodson and Manes provided an update on facilities. Dodson informed the board that enrollment was at 14 for PK and 160 for K – 8 and attendance was at 97.5%. Food service renovations and FEMA updates were discussed.
The board was presented with quotes by Dodson from Hillyard for new floor machines, with the board approving the purchase.
