Funeral service for Rachel Nicole Counts Brooks was October 11, 2025 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Pastor Terry Davis officiating.
Interment was in New Harmony Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bill Counts, Shawn Degon, Danny Rictor, Paul Mansell, Blaine Counts, and Will Counts.
Mrs. Brooks was born November 18, 2001 in Rolla to William and Rebecca (Kirksey) Counts. She married Jarod Brooks September 29, 2025. Mrs. Brooks died October 5, 2025 in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 23 years.
Survivors include her husband, Jarod Brooks, Danville; parents, Bill and Becky Counts, Salem; sister, Mandy Carlson, Springfield; brother, Will Counts and girlfriend, Jacki, Springfield; nephews, Memphis and Maleck; grandparents, Ann Dement, Salem; and Larry and Jo Ann Counts, Hardy, Arkansas; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Ronald and Barbara Kirksey.
