The Salem, St. James and Rolla High School football teams will all host first-round district games this coming week, according to the Missouri State High School Activities Association website.
Class 3 District 5
Both St. James and Salem got home first-round games, with St. James playing on Thursday, Oct. 30 and Salem on Friday, Oct. 31.
On Thursday, Oct. 30 the third-seeded St. James Tigers (3-6) host sixth-seeded Strafford (2-7) at p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
The other District 5 games are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 31, with fourth-seeded Salem (3-6) hosting fifth-seeded Buffalo (2-7) at Schuchardt Stadium at a time to be determined and second-seeded Clever (7-2) facing seventh-seeded Pleasant Hope (0-9) at 7 p.m.
In District 5 semifinals top-seeded Mountain Grove (8-1) will host the Salem/Buffalo winner while the St. James/Strafford winner meets the Clever/Pleasant Hope winner at the location of the highest seed. The district championship is scheduled for Nov. 14 at the location of the highest seed.
Class 5 District 2
The fourth-seeded Rolla High football team (4-5) will host fifth-seeded Washington (3-6) at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31 at Lions Memorial Field in the opening round of the Missouri Class 5 District 2 Tournament.
In the other District 2 first round game Oct. 31, Rockwood Summit (7-2) hosts Parkway South (2-7).
In the semifinals Nov. 7 top-seeded Kirkwood (7-1) will host the Rolla/Washington winner while second-seeded Eureka (7-2) takes on the Rockwood Summit/Parkway South winner. The district championship game is set for Nov. 14 at the home of the highest seed.
Class 5 District 5
The Waynesville Tigers have been seeded No. 6 for Class 5 District 5.
In first-round action Oct. 31 Waynesville (0-9) travels to Springfield to take on third-seeded Central Ozark Conference foe Glendale (5-4) at a time to be determined.
In other District 5 first-round games fourth-seeded Jefferson City (4-5) hosts fifth-seeded Camdenton (2-7) while second-seeded Capital City (5-4) hosts Springfield Hillcrest (0-9).
In the semifinals Nov. 7 top-seeded Lebanon (5-4) plays the Jefferson City/Camdenton winner while the Capital City/Hillcrest winner meets the Waynesville/Glendale winner at the location of the highest seed. The district title game is slated for Nov. 14 at the location of the highest seed.
