The Salem High School volleyball team split a pair of road matches to open the season last week.
Salem opened by sweeping past St. James 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-15) Tuesday, Sept. 2.
Salem also defeated St. James in the junior varsity match 25-8, 25-13 and in the freshman contest 25-7, 25-15.
Thursday, Sept. 4 the Lady Tigers traveled to Sullivan and were swept 3-0 (25-19, 5-12, 25-13).
Sullivan also won the JV match 25-9, 25-15 and the freshman match 25-18, 26-28, 15-8.
Salem head coach Madison Satterly said due to problems with the stats system, no individual statistics were available.
This week the Lady Tigers are scheduled to play at Eminence Tuesday, host Owensville Thursday at the SHS gym (4:30 p.m.) and compete in the West Plains Showdown Saturday.
