Hoedown Throwdown got a little country in the tap routine for ages 4-5. Classes are instructed by Ashlyn Patterson, with the assistance of Khloe Baldwin, Courtney Mendenhall, and Hannah Prugh. Choreography assistants are Andrea Bray and Kennedy Chapman.
Hoedown Throwdown got a little country in the tap routine for ages 4-5. Classes are instructed by Ashlyn Patterson, with the assistance of Khloe Baldwin, Courtney Mendenhall, and Hannah Prugh. Choreography assistants are Andrea Bray and Kennedy Chapman.
The theme of the recital was “Give Us Props.” Several props were used during routines, including canes to the PYT tap routine, by these dancers, ages 9-13.
The lyrical routine was choreographed by former student, Andrea Bray, for the oldest group of dancers, ages 14-18.
A jazz routine to Single Ladies featured light-up rings as the 13-15 group added sass to the stage.
Salem Academy of Dance held its winter recital Dec. 18 at Salem Civic Theater. Performing a ballet/lyrical routine were dancers, ages 6-9, to the song Rainbow.
