Yeah...so about those tax cuts Rep. Jason Smith is misleading us about.
Like I've said before, any time a Republican claims they're helping the poor, the question we need to ask is, "How does it benefit the wealthy?"

Yeah...so about those tax cuts Rep. Jason Smith is misleading us about.
Like I've said before, any time a Republican claims they're helping the poor, the question we need to ask is, "How does it benefit the wealthy?"
In this case, Smith is misleading us by using the average tax benefit instead of the mean. It's a way to use statistics to propagate a lie.
The majority of people in our district will not be seeing a thousand dollar increase in our returns. Instead, for those of us who earn less than $50,000 per year, we will see about $250 bucks. This will do very little to help us with tariff inflation and soaring insurance premiums.
Meanwhile, those making more than a million dollars per year will see over one hundred thousand dollars in tax benefits.
If only Smith fought for us as hard as he slavishly fights for the wealthy, he might be a decent representative. But Smith will move mountains for millionaires before he moves a pinky for the poor.
