Verna Mae (Chitwood) Norris was born August 23, 1943, in Blair Creek, Missouri, near Ellington. She Verna departed this life December 24, 2025, in Rolla, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years.
Verna is survived by her daughters: Brenda Norris of Salem, MO and Vickie Martin and husband Johnny of Salem, MO; siblings: John Chitwood and Jan of Birch Tree, MO, Dolley Smith of Springfield, MO, Lorean McBride of West Plains, MO, and Gerald Chitwood and Virginia of Birch Tree, MO; grandsons: Austin Martin and wife Samantha and Adam Martin and wife Savannah; great-granddaughter: Olivia; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
