The following is information regarding a recent arrest by the Salem Police Department:
On Jan. 1, Patrolmen #115 and #114, along with Corporal #107 of the Salem Police Department, conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of South Main Street in Salem, Missouri.
During the course of the stop, officers observed several indicators suggesting additional criminal activity, beyond the original reason for the stop. As a result, assistance was requested from the Dent County Sheriff’s Office. Corporal #607 and K-9 Mid responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.
K-9 Mid conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and illegally possessed firearms.
One suspect, identified as Robert Stulce, was taken into custody and transported to the Dent County Jail pending the filing of formal charges.
A probable cause statement was submitted to the Dent County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Prosecuting Attorney filed a felony complaint in the Circuit Court of Dent County.
The Honorable Judge Kelsaw issued a $25,000 CASH/SURETY BOND warrant for the following charges:
• Possession of Controlled Substance
• Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• Unlawful Use of a Weapon (x2)
• Operate MV on Highway w/o Valid License
• Operate MV w/o Maintaining Financial Responsibility
