The Dent County Fire Protection District Board of Directors met for its regular meeting Tuesday Dec. 9. In attendance included board members Mike Godi, David Greenshields, Dr. Leigh Ann Price, Jeff Stokes, and John Knight. The monthly reimbursement report was presented with a total of 15 calls for the month and 251 total calls for the year.
Under old business, Chief Derrick Thomas provided quotes for rescue tools, stating a need for approximately $2,500 of hose fittings. The board approved spending no more than $2500.00 for the fittings. In addition, the beard and hair policy was discussed with the decision being to leave as is.
Under new business, Dr. Leigh Ann Price requested board members sponsor a table at Dancing with the Stars, a Salem Memorial Hospital fundraiser. The members agreed to the request.
In Chief Thomas’ reports, he relayed that the Christmas Parade went well, and that the firehouse grant contract is in and ready to be signed.
Meanwhile, in closed session, the board voted to add Colleen Montoya and Connor Montoya to the department junior firefighting roster.

• Budget and reconciliations
• Fidelity (CTI) Tower Lease to be paid
