Jessica Ricks, Population Health Director for Dent County Health Center, was guest speaker Monday, Feb. 2 at the Salem Rotary Club. Riley Pratt, nutrition expert, gave a presentation about the Next to Rise program.
Next to Rise is a youth-led program that gives high school students a platform to work together to create positive change in Missouri. The program is a policy-focused health initiative funded by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
Being a part of Next to Rise means you stand up for your community’s health and push for positive change across Missouri. Your involvement will look good on your resume too. Use your participation to boost your job and leadership opportunities. Once your school or organization becomes part of the Next to Rise Training Program, you can attend an interactive training where you’ll learn how to be an advocate for your community.
On the training day, there will be a free lunch provided and opportunities to win prizes. Becoming a Next to Rise partner means you care about empowering the youth in your school or youth organization to grow into leaders.
As a youth program partner, you can earn up to $2,000 for your school or youth organization—all while tackling critical issues across Missouri.
Thanks to Rotarian Ty Richards for hosting today's speaker.
