Salem placed three players on the 2016-17 All-SCA Girls Basketball Team announced this week, including first-team selection Payton Curley, a senior.
Also on the team were second-team pick Baylee Bilyeu, a junior, and honorable mention pick Kari Hatridge, a senior.
The first team includes Curley, Liberty sophomore Piper Francis, Willow Springs senior Devin Perkins, Houston junior Kaitlyn Root and Thayer sophomore Julie Stone, who was named player of the year.
On the second team were Bilyeu, Houston senior Abby Casper, Thayer senior Caity Coursey, Mountain Grove senior Makenzie Gardner and Liberty senior Jackie Mantel.
Joining Hatridge on the honorable mention squad were Ava senior Emily Guengerich, Cabool senior Alyssa Matherly, Houston senior Jaydin Ramsey, Liberty junior Marissa Berry, Mountain Grove senior Rachel Loughridge, Thayer junior Caity Jones, Thayer sophomore Angela Sorrell and Willow Springs juniors Kianna Rothermich and Lilya Dudko.
Coach of the Year is Thayer’s Cecil Meyer.
The team is picked by league coaches.
