Funeral service for Donavan “Don” William Heithold was July 10, 2012 at Fox Funeral Home Chapel, Licking, with Pastor David Kettner officiating.
Interment was in Concord Cemetery, Salem.
Pallbearers were Chad Heithold, Jacob Heithold, Luke Heithold, Blake Heithold, Emma Heithold and Deborah Stark.
Mr. Heithold was born June 8, 1930 in Hoskins, Neb., to Arthur Julius and Lillie Louise (Harder) Heithold. He married Margaret E. Jorgensen May 23, 1955. They were the parents of five children. He died July 6, 2012 in Licking at the age of 82 years.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Heithold, Licking; children, Donavon “Bill” Heithold Jr. and wife, Cynthia, Alamogordo, N.M.; Bryan Heithold and wife, Silvia, Nederland, Colo.; Paul Heithold and wife, Penny, Salem; Grant Heithold and wife, Lori, Salem; Carol Fox, Licking; special niece, Deborah Stark, Waterloo, Neb.; eight sisters, Ardath Puntney and husband, Raymond, Coleridge, Neb., Vivian Ash and husband, Jerry, Springfield; Marian Stringfellow, Bolivar; Joann Dreesen and husband, Red, Fair Grove; Sharon Lumley and Wendel, Elkland; Janet Hughes and husband, Jack, Springfield; Patricia Nadi and husband, Ramadan, Atlanta, Ga.; Kathy Hodges and husband, John, Springfield; two brothers, Duane Heithold and wife, Leona; Coleridge, Neb.; David Heithold and wife, Pauline, Elkland; sisters-in-law, Ziola Heithold, Marshfield; Dorothy Stauffer, Grand Island, Neb., brother-in-law Alvin Engdahl, Gretna, Neb.; 12 grandchildren, Chad Heithold and wife, Sara; Anna Cochran and husband, Si; Logan Heithold; Jacob Heithold and wife, Bonni; Bryce Heithold and wife, Anya; Orlan Heithold and wife, Amanda; Emma Heithold; Luke Heithold and wife, Hannah; Camerin Huff; Karsin Heithold; Blake Heithold; and Megan Heithold; ten great-grandchildren: James Heithold, Judah Cochran, Sawyer Heithold-Strom, Adam Heithold, Parker Huff, Hrothgar Heithold, Elijah Cochran, Penelope Huff, Aurelia Heithold, and Kerrigan Heithold; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Stanley Heithold and Richard Heithold; and son-in-law, Don Fox.
Mr. Heithold served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church, Salem.
