Funeral service for Marley Ralph Williams was May 11, 2012 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Bro. Russ Davidson officiating.
Music was provided by Phil and Vicki Newcom.
Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
Pallbearers were Ralph Williams, Jimmy Williams, Bryan Wisdom, Randall Raulston, Jim Krepps and Ed Carmack. Honorary pallbearer was Wayne Williams.
Mr. Williams was born May 19, 1926 in Joy to James M. and Maudie (Hulsey) Williams. He married Jewell Dean Golden December 6, 1952. They were the parents of three children. Mr. Williams died May 8, 2012 in St. James at the age of 85 years.
Survivors include his children, Ralph Williams and wife, Kathy, Rolla; Esther Blake, West Plains; and Jimmy Williams and wife, Denita, Salem; brother, Wayne Williams and wife, Inos, Salem; sisters, Lola Krepps, St. Louis; Mildred Schafer, Salem; and Velma Thompson and husband, Leon, Salem; special friend, Darlene Williams, Salem; grandchildren, Julie Baird, Emily Williams, Katie Williams, Amanda Williams, Abigail Blake and Nathan Williams; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife; and sister, Eula Poor.
Mr. Williams served in the United States Army during World War II, Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was awarded numerous awards and commendations. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church.
