Six members of the Salem High School football team have been named to the Missouri Football Coaches Association’s Class 3 All-District 5 Team, it was announced last week.
Salem players named All-District 5 were senior linebacker Gavin Sapaugh, junior running back Brody Ray, senior offensive lineman Charlie Terrill, sophomore defensive lineman Titus White, junior running back Sylis DuBois and junior defensive back Max Schloemer.
DuBois (6-0, 165) led Salem in rushing with 930 yards on 102 carries and scored 12 touchdowns. Ray (5-10, 185) was second on the Tigers in rushing. Terrill (6-0, 225) was perhaps the Tigers’ most consistent offensive lineman all season.
Sapaugh (6-2, 210) had 81 tackles - 60 solo - with 1.5 sacks, one interception and two blocked kicks. Schloemer (6-3, 165) made 78 tackles - 36 solo - with two interceptions and three pass breakups. White (6-4, 200) made 40 tackles - 22 solo - with three sacks and two caused fumbles.
Salem finished with a 4-7 record in 2024.
