Golden leaves danced in the wind as excited students stepped off the bus and into a world filled with orange gourds, corn mazes, and cozy fall memories at the pumpkin patch. The third-grade class from Salem Upper Elementary enjoyed the perfect autumn field trip at Pete's Pumpkin Patch on Friday, October 17. As a cadet teacher, I had the opportunity to accompany the children and join in on the fall fun.
When we arrived at the pumpkin patch, the enthusiastic students burst out in every direction, ready to tackle all the activities the patch had to offer—and Pete's didn't disappoint. From diving into the corn pit and racing down the giant slide to zooming across the zip line and picking the perfect pumpkin, the day was filled with laughter, muddy shoes, and wide-eyed excitement. Everywhere you looked, there were smiling faces and pumpkin-stained hands tightly holding onto their fall treasures. It was heartwarming to witness the magical day these students had.
