From left, Presiding Commissioner Gary Larson, First District Commissioner Keith Green, Second District Commissioner Jimmy Williams, Coroner Ben Pursifull, Public Administrator Sherida Cook, Sheriff Bob Wells, and Judge Megan Seay were all led through their oath of office by County Clerk Angie Curley at the county-elect swearing-in ceremony Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024 at Dent County Courthouse.

Incumbent Presiding Commissioner Gary Larson signs the certification paperwork alongside the newly elected first and second district commissioners, Green and Williams. Residents can meet the new commissioners by attending public county commission meetings every Monday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

John Hewkin has been a sports fan since he was a kid. He’s played, coached and been a fan of sports. I was a sports writer for 15 years before moving back to Missouri, but to this day you will still find me in my man cave a lot of nights and weekends watching something that requires a ball.
