New exhibits, revamped displays, remodeled areas, creamy ice cream, and fresh squeezed lemonade made for a wonderful evening at the Shannon County Museum on Friday, Sept. 5. About 50 people attended—it was a great way to celebrate the end of our tenth year in our building.
We thank all our board members and volunteers who helped with the projects. Special thanks to Nancy Ray for wanting to remodel the museum and making it happen. Thank you all who joined us for our open house and ice cream social.
We launched a raffle of a wild horse photo donated to us from Dean Curtis, wild horse photographer. Tickets are $20.00 each. We will sell 100 tickets before we pull the winner.
Our "His and Her" raffle of a gun and nativity set hand carved by Cindy Dooley will be raffled at Arts and Crafts on Oct. 11. Tickets are $1.00 or 6 tickets for $5.00.
Coots and Boggs is sponsoring a fundraiser for our museum. The signs are special places on the Current and Jack's Fork River.
Craft classes will soon begin.
