Business owners and professionals can learn how to connect with customers at a marketing workshop held in recognition of National Small Business Week May 5-11. The Small Business Development Center at Missouri University of Science and Technology is partnering with Phelps County Bank to host a workshop with marketing expert Melissa Forziat.

“Effective marketing is all about relationship building, and it doesn't have to cost a lot of money,” says Melissa Forziat, owner of Melissa Forziat Events & Marketing. “In this workshop, attendees will learn how to make the most out of referral marketing (word of mouth), partnership marketing and social media to create strong connections with their target market.”
