The Dent County Health Center Board of Trustees met for its monthly meeting Thursday, Dec. 19. In attendance included board members Bob Gravley, Carol Lacy, Bob Parsons, Dennis Floyd, and Lori Hasten, as well as administrator Zach Moser and Roma Jones.
The minutes for Nov. 21 were reviewed. Errors were found that could not immediately be corrected; thus, the minutes were not approved.
In administrator reports, Moser shared that lead assessor training has been completed, and that community members are now able to bring in items to be tested with the XRF scanner to see if they have lead. Meanwhile, the health fair has been scheduled for May 2, 2025. Moser also reported the closing of 1014 East Scenic Rivers Boulevard took place Dec. 2 and cleanup is underway for the health center to make use of the area.
DCHC financial reports for November were reviewed and approved. Current assets at the end of the month were $1,218,475.86. Total assets were $1,913,732.14, total liabilities were $196,845.93, and equity was $1,716,886.21. Revenue for the month was $87,587.67, while expenses were $145,420.77. In closed session, the board took the following votes:
• approval of the 2025 employee compensation adjustment of 4%, with instruction to the administrator to prepare for merit/evaluation-based raises in the next year.
• declining of all proposals for design services due to acquisition of 1014 E. Scenic Rivers Blvd and concern about maintaining financial prudence.
