A single vehicle accident on Highway 119 took the life of a Cape Girardeau man on Thursday, according to online reports of Troop I of the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Kevin K. Gerlach, 74, was southbound on Highway 119 in a 2002 Workhorse Motorhome one mile south of Montauk State Park at 10:55 a.m. when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
