Kevin James and Rachel Hinderliter were the winners of the Salem alderman races Tuesday night, according to unofficial totals.
James defeated Harley Elwood-Conaway, 144-74, in the Salem West Ward and Hinderliter defeated Jerry (Jay) Gibbs, 112-57, in the East Ward.
In the Green Forest R-2 school board race, Austin Konkel and Jeremy Patton emerged from a field of four candidates to win seats on the board. Konkel had 64 votes, Patton 52, Nicole Brooks 11 and Crystal Fleener eight.
Sabrina Watson was elected the new alderman in Bunker with 17 votes to 14 for Betty Wisdom and seven for Patricia (Houston) Rowland.
Todd Sutton and Joel Steelman won a three-way race for Bunker school board. Sutton garnered 29 votes, Steelman 18 and Gary Skaggs had nine.
In the Oak Hill R-1 district, Willie Strader won the one-year term with 52 votes. Allison Thompson had 17 and Phillip Thompson nine.
With results from Shannon County now complete, Natalie Stevens in the apparent winner of the three-year term in the Oak Hill district over Michael Conners by a margin of 28-27. Phillip Mercer was the leading vote-getter with 37 and won the other seat on the board.
All vote totals are unofficial. Voter turnout for the April election was poor with only 11.3 percent of registered voters casting ballots.
