The Oak Hill R-I Board of Education met March 13 for its regular meeting.
Members present included Nathan Ragsdale, Amanda Sapaugh, Daniel England, Thomas England, and April Greener. Also in attendance were Superintendent Steve Bryant and Principal Breanna Warden.
The board discussed selling, trading, and the purchasing of buses. England made the motion to sell and/or trade buses #2 and #5 as well as purchasing three buses for up to $240,000 from National, with the board approving unanimously.
During closed session, the board discussed the hiring of Katelynn Wofford, Ciera Hamilton, Emily Brooks, Cynthia Cabaness, Rene Moncrief, Brian McNamee, Rockey Wade, Rachel Privett, and Maria Jessen as certified staff members for the 2025-2026 school year. The board also discussed the hiring of Shannon Lewis as the full-time bookkeeper beginning March 17, 2025. The board discussed the hiring of Breanna Warden as the Principal for the 2025-2026 school year. The board accepted resignations from Elizabeth Treadway, Lisa Dennison, and Eric Wofford.
The board also approved the following:
• Agenda and open session minutes of the Feb. 13 board meeting, with the amendment of adding a motion to approve the transfer of funds from The Bank of Salem to MOCATT
• Payment of March 2025 bills and April 2025 payroll was reviewed and approved
• MET health insurance plan options were reviewed with the motion to stay with plan 8 carrying.
• Continuing service with Exceptional Child Education Cooperative
