The Dent County Fire Protection District Board met for its monthly meeting Tuesday, Jan. 14. Those in attendance included David Greenshields, Liz Gruendel, Mike Godi, and Dr. Leigh Ann Price. Also in attendance included Tom Pisarkiewicz and Courtney Wegman of LJ Hart & Company. The next meeting will be held Feb. 11, 6 p.m. at the DCFPD.
The Oath of Office was administered by Secretary Dave Wells for new board member Jeff Stokes. Stokes will be filling a board vacancy until the next scheduled election.
In old business, the board reviewed the bond issue resolution. After discussion and presentation by Pisarkiewicz and Wegman, the board made a resolution calling for a special bond election to be held April 8, with all approving. Papers were signed with the bonding company and recorded.
After discussion, a check was signed for the rent of a Sparklight tower for 2023 and 2024.
In Chief Floyd’s reports, he shared the ladder truck is in St. Louis for repair and that four people are attending fire training school.
The consent agenda was approved, as well as minutes from the previous meeting; financial report with an ending balance of $206,908.38; bills, payments, and statements; and the budget.
The monthly reimbursement report was presented with a total of 19 calls for the month and 19 total calls for the year.
