Some Salem projects are slow-moving, and the Frisco Trail is just one example. The blacktop was completed years ago, the sign opposite the treatment center was installed last year, and now the sign at the start of the lower section has just been installed by DnK Welding & Fencing. I extend a special thank you to David and Hanna for their creative skills in designing and installing this piece of art. Also, thanks to the Dent County Tourism Committee for thinking this was a worthy project.

For community members participating in the 100-mile Dent County Community Walk, I hope you take advantage of this in-town trail. Jay Anderson's brochure, which describes the history of the trail, can be obtained in a box located at the trailhead. The yellow numbered trail markers indicate the locations of businesses that were once situated along the railroad. (Please return the brochures to the pick-up box.) I have placed temporary mile markers along the trail to help participants track their walking miles to the bridge.
