According to reports from the Dent County Sheriff's Department:
• deputies conducted a traffic stop on S. Highway 19 and County Road 5083 on Sept. 6. During the course of the stop, the operator, a 41-year-old Newburg man, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and to have a revoked driving privilege. The suspect was arrested and the case cleared by arrest.
• deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3200 block of S. Highway 19 on Sept. 9. During the course of the stop, the operator, a 38-year-old Salem man, was found to have a suspended driving privilege. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Dent County Jail for processing.
• deputies responded to County Road 6250 for a report of property damage on Sept. 10. The victim, a 72-year-old Salem man, advised an unknown suspect shot and killed one of his cows. The investigation is ongoing.
• deputies conducted a traffic stop at Highway 32 and S. Hickory St. on Sept. 10. During a consent search of the vehicle, contraband was located. The suspect, a 44-year-old Salem man, was arrested a transported to the Dent County Jail.
