Riverways Federal Credit Union (RFCU) recently announced a new home for its Salem office. RFCU has acquired the property on Hwy 32 between Walmart and Dollar Tree to build a new state of the art facility to serve its member/owners.
The new facility design will allow the Salem location to serve as a second operations hub for the organization and is a key component of the future growth strategy. As the credit union continues to grow, this will bring new job opportunities to Dent County.
Riverways Federal Credit Union opened the current Salem location on March 2, 2015. Since that time the support from the Dent county market has been overwhelming. The Salem location now consists of 25% of the member/owners of RFCU.
“We are humbled at the response from the area,” stated RFCU CEO Scott Shults. “The community has really embraced the value of being an owner of their financial institution, not just a customer. The remarkable growth of our membership in this area has made this move essential. Those who have been in the current location can see we clearly have grown beyond the capacity of our present facility.”
The new location will continue to offer convenient drive-through hours, open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday. The new facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology that will make it one of the most advanced in banking.
