Old fairgrounds purchased, development plans pending

Odom said no announcement is being made right now regarding future plans for the property.

“We have some ideas for the property, but nothing we are ready to talk about yet,” Odom said.

The first phase of improvement will be a massive clean-up of the 6.1 acre tract. Clean-up will include removal of the fence around the perimeter of the property and the old building foundations will be hauled away.

“The immediate priority will be to clean up the property and make it look nice,” Odom said. “Other improvements could be a slow process, but we have some ideas.”
