The Salem Farmers Market is located at 200 South Main Street under its own dedicated pavilion, where the community is able to find oodles of local goods—including homemade jellies, jams, fresh produce, baked items, plants, honey, yogurt, wood products, and more, thanks to participation from a wealth of talented, local vendors. The Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday, rain or shine, from 7:30 a.m. to noon during its peak season of May through September.
This year’s Farmers’ Market will be accepting SNAP benefits for qualifying products, including the following:
• Baked goods and cereals
• Seeds and plants, for food
• Coffee beans and grounds
• Dips, salsas, frozen food
Participating vendors will feature a label on their table designating their participation in the program.
Every week, organizers post a vendor map of that Saturday’s Farmers’ Market on its dedicated Facebook page found at https://www.facebook.com/salemfarmersmarket, along with shared posts from vendors so the community is always up to date on who and what they can expect from upcoming Saturdays.
Vendors range from week to week. This past Saturday, June 14, the community was able to enjoy a variety from vendors like Creek & Hollow Homestead, offering loaves of sourdough bread and other baked goods; jams and jellies from Naturally Preserved by Dayna; granola and veggies from Brambleberry Farms; and even freshly made yogurt from Mast Creamery.
