The board heard guest, Mike Manes, discuss the sand filtration system. It was decided to wait to do the remainder of the asbestos removal until June of 2018.
Other News
• The board approved the agenda and consent agenda.
• Gale Huffman and Jeff Dodson gave a curriculum plan update, which was approved by the board.
• Bus routes for 2017-18 were discussed and approved.
• The board discussed the career fair and RED Awards.
• Dodson reported to the board that the first set of attendance letters have gone home. Enrollment was at 197 plus 17 preschool students and attendance was 97.17 percent.
• In closed session, the board approved Sylvia Shomshor’s resignation effective Sept. 22.
• The bid was accepted from Kent Nichols Sign to update the current sign in front of the building.
• The board will accept bids to repair the softball field.
The following members were in attendance: Kathy Crocker, Wes Mobray, Aaron Brooks, Josh Kotschedoff, Jarred Brown and Jenna Dunn. Dee Jessen was absent. Jeff Dodson and Lois Stacy were also present.
