On April 10, the City of Salem Board of Aldermen met in closed session in accordance with RSMo. 610.021(13) to discuss matters pertaining to an applicant for employment. In attendance were mayor Greg Parker, alderman Shawn Bolerjack, Rick Letchworth, John Whelan, city administrator Sally Burbridge, city attorney James Weber, and Carrie Sutterfield (via Zoom). Alderwoman Catherine Dent was absent.
Following a roll call vote of 3-0 (Whelan – yes, Bolerjack – yes, Letchworth – yes), the board authorized the mayor to extend an offer to Sutterfield for the position of economic development director for the City of Salem.
