Due to the resignation of Presiding Commissioner Darrell Skiles, The Dent County Republican Central Committee will be accepting resumes for interviews and recommendation to the Governor for appointment. This term to be held until the special election in 2024.
Please submit the documents with contact information to the Dent County Republican Central Committee- coursen@hotmail.com by Monday, March 13.
For any person who wishes to apply for the office, you will also need to go to this website: board.mo.gov. You will need to create an account. Once you create your account, interested persons can select “Dent County Presiding Commissioner” on their application.
There will be a special meeting held at the Dent County Judicial building/Associate courtroom at 112 East 5th Street in Salem Missouri on Monday, March 20 at 6 p.m. The Committee will hear all candidates and have a question-and-answer session with each candidate. The committee will vote afterward.
All parties interested in a recommendation should attend.
