An HVAC bid from Victor Heating and Cooling, a phone system estimate from Advanced Telephone and a flooring estimate from Toman’s for the new building were discussed and approved by the Dent County Health Center Board of Trustees at their Dec. 19 meeting.
Administrator Kendra Mobray reported outpatient lab services were provided to 90 clients in November.
Mobray also said all documents have been submitted to Maloney, Wright and Robbins for 2017/2018 audit.
Under contract updates, Mobray reported the SEMA PREP visit was completed Dec. 13. She attended the quarterly Region I SEMA meeting in Lebanon Dec. 12.
The MoDHSS WIC TA staff will be in Dent County Jan. 9 to walk through the new building.
The communicable disease report stated that eight cases of influenza, one influenza-related death, one case of Campylobacteriosis, one Meningococcal, and two animal bites were investigated in November.
A total of 463 flu shots have been administered to date. Flu shots are still available at the Health Center on a walk-in basis. Three types of quadrivalent flu vaccine are offered: Flulaval (for ages 6 months and up), Flublok (for egg allergies), and High Dose Fluzone (for ages 65 and up). DHSS can bill private insurance and Medicaid. Flu shots are $37 for adults who are uninsured. If you are interested in a flu shot clinic at your place of business or job site, call 573-729-3106.
Mobray reported that filings for the two board seats expiring in April 2020 run from Dec. 17 through Jan. 21. Those persons interested in filling a board seat for this position must file in person at the county clerk’s office in the Dent County Courthouse during regular office hours.
Mobray presented the administrative manual and personnel manual to the board for annual approval. Kendra discussed the 2019 holiday schedule. DHSS was to close Dec. 24 at 1 p.m. and reopen Dec. 26 at 8 a.m. The board approved the scheduled.
DCHC expenses for November 2019 were approved. The next regular board meeting date was set for 5 p.m. Jan. 16.
