According to reports from the Salem Police Department:

• No one was hurt in a one-car crash March 30 near the roadside park on Highway 19. A 2000 Chevy Impala driven by Wayne Quick was traveling north through the roadside park toward the north exit when it sustained catastrophic brake failure and began rolling down the hill backwards. The car rolled through the door of a garage at 901 North Hwy. 19. The garage sustained major damage in the 5:19 p.m. accident. The Impala, owned by Robert Miner, had minor damage. It was towed from the scene by the owner.
