According to reports received from the Salem Police Department April 2:
The Salem Police Department has recovered a chainsaw and is seeking the owner. The owner may provide the make, model, color, serial number and or other adequate identifiers to take possession of the chainsaw.
•On March 21 at approximately 1 a.m., an officer was conducting a theft investigation at a residence in the 300 block of East Third St. During the investigation, a 48-year-old Salem woman was found to be in possession of marijuana. The suspect was taken into custody, issued a summons to appear in court and released.
•On March 26 at approximately 3:11 p.m., an officer was detailed to a residence in the 300 block of East Third St. in reference to an intoxicated male who would not leave a residence. Investigation of the report led to the arrest of a 41-year-old Salem man for disorderly conduct. The suspect was issued a summons to appear in court and released.
•On March 27 at approximately 2:51 a.m., an officer was detailed to a residence in the 800 block of East Third St. in reference to an assault. Investigation of the report revealed a 43-year-old Salem man had assaulted a 35-year-old Salem woman. Further investigation led to the arrest of the suspect who was issued a summons to appear in court and released.
•On March 27 at approximately 1 p.m., an officer was detailed to a residence in the 500 block of East Roosevelt St. in reference to a disturbance. Investigation of the report led to the arrest of a 46-year-old Salem man on an active arrest warrant from Missouri Probation and Parole. The suspect was incarcerated pending a court appearance.
•On March 27 at approximately 4:29 p.m., a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. Investigation of the stop led to the arrest of a 36-year-old Salem woman for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and a 37-year-old Salem man for possession of methamphetamine, tampering with evidence, and false impersonation. The two suspects were incarcerated pending the application for warrants.
•On March 27 at approximately 4:30 p.m., a narcotics investigation was conducted at a residence in the 600 block of S. Jackson St. by the Salem Police Department and the Division of Drug and Crime Control. The investigation revealed a large-scale methamphetamine production facility. Further investigation led to the arrest of a 47-year-old Salem man for distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was incarcerated pending the application for warrants.
•On March 27 at approximately 9:07 p.m., an officer transported a 36-year-old woman to Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla in lieu of a mental commitment order.
•On March 28 at approximately 7:23 p.m., an officer was detailed to Mobil gas station in reference to a theft of fuel. Investigation of the report revealed the driver of a white four-door car pumped $39.00 in fuel and left without paying.
•On March 31 at approximately 3:21 p.m., an officer was detailed to a residence in the 700 block of E. Truman St. in reference to a burglary. Investigation of the report revealed person(s) unknown entered a residence and took items valued at $1,200.00.
•On April 1 at approximately 12:39 p.m., an officer was detailed to Dent County Memorial Chapel in reference to property damage. Investigation of the report revealed two concrete flower pots valued at $200.00 had been vandalized.
•On April 2 at approximately 7:29 a.m., an officer was detailed to a residence in the 800 block of E. Fourth St. in reference to property damage. Investigation of the report revealed person(s) unknown broke the back glass, valued at $200.00, on a gray 1991 Buick.
