A fatal accident claimed the life of a 12-year-old Bunker boy Friday afternoon on Route TT in Reynolds County, according to a report from the State Highway Patrol.
Killed was Tison P. Gordon, a passenger in the 2007 Ford pickup driven by 14-year-old Alexander W. Gordon, Bunker, who was seriously injured and flown by helicopter to Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.
The accident occurred at 12:55 p.m. as the southbound pickup ran off the roadway six miles north of Reynolds. The vehicle then travelled down an embankment and overturned, partially ejecting Tison. Tison was pronounced deceased at the scene by coroner Jeffrey McSpadden at 2:11 p.m. Next of kin was notified.
Other occupants in the pickup were Gregory L. Barton, 16, Bunker and Jordan M. Shaw, 13, Bunker. Barton sustained moderate injuries, and Shaw sustained minor injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Southeast Health Center Hospital in Ellington. Tison Gordon’s body was taken to McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellington. None of the four were wearing a safety device.
