According to online reports of Troop I of the Missouri State Highway Patrol:
• Injuries were reported Sunday, July 14, resulting from a two-vehicle crash that occurred on State Route K at State Route Z. A 2012 Nissan Versa, driven by Joan F. Sutton, 75, of Salem, was northbound at 12:44 p.m. July 14 when it pulled into the path of an eastbound 2014 Ram 1500, driven by Thomas W. Barnard, 40, of Rolla. Sutton received serious injuries in the crash and was flown by Phelps Air to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis for treatment. Both vehicles sustained total damage and were removed from the scene by Whitaker’s Towing.
