Two people were seriously injured Sunday, June 2, resulting from a one-vehicle crash that occurred on State Route H four miles west of Salem, according to an online report of Troop I of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

A 2021 Kia Forte, driven by Katelynn M. Mathes, 26, of Salem, was eastbound at 12:25 p.m. June 2 when it traveled off the left side of the roadway, went down an embankment, and struck a creek bed.
