From cozy knitting classes to hands-on pottery sessions and detailed painting workshops, the Creative Arts Center offers creative experiences for all interests. With classes running many afternoons and evenings each week, it's a place where people can unwind, try new hobbies, and discover hidden talents. After hearing about all the class options from my mom, I decided to try a few for myself.
I recently had the opportunity to attend two courses at the Creative Arts Center: a Christmas card ornament-making class with Angela Dinguss and a Gilmore Girls Paint and Sip with Danielle Norris. Walking into both of the classes, I did not have the first clue about how to turn Christmas cards into ornaments or how to paint something that looked even remotely like what it was supposed to be. My lack of artistic knowledge made me nervous about what was to come. Still, both teachers were very welcoming and patient with me. By the end, I realized I had no reason to be nervous and that stepping outside of my comfort zone could actually be enjoyable. I left each class feeling proud of what I created and surprised by my new talents.
