Filing began on Dec. 5, and the deadline for filing is Dec. 26. Dent County Clerk Angie Curley has instructed prospective candidates to file with their respective political subdivisions.
The following is a list of open positions, including incumbents and all candidates who filed prior to press deadlines. Several offices were closed due to Christmas.
City of Salem
• East Ward Alderman - two-year term
Candidates: Kala Sisco (incumbent), James Vance
• West Ward Alderman (Kyle Williams, Incumbent)—two-year term
Candidates: Catherine Dent, Richard LaBrash
• Mayor—two-year term
Candidates: Greg Parker (incumbent), Lisa Elliott, Grover Whitley, Eddie Fleetwood
City of Bunker
• Alderman (Tom Case, Incumbent) – two-year term

• Mayor (Gary Conway Jr., Incumbent) – two-year term
