According to an email from Salem R-80 Superintendent Dr. Lynne Reed, at a special board meeting April 7, 2023, the Salem R-80 Board of Education accepted the resignation of Kevin Miles as teacher, head football coach, and assistant athletic director for the 2023-2024 school year.

Neil Myers was hired as head football coach and assistant athletic director.
