The Dent County Developmental Disabilities Board met Thursday, July 18 for its regular quarterly meeting. Within Amanda Sapaugh’s executive director report, she discussed needing to schedule the Tax Rate Hearing. The Tax Rate Hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m., Aug.15.
Members present were Shawn Bolerjack, Grant Hamlet, Ron Hutson, Becky Steiner, Philip Christesen, Stephanie Floyd, and Wendy Pryor. Member Cathy Diehl was not in attendance. Executive director Sapaugh and visitor Diane Godi were also present.
Sapaugh presented an Insurance Summary detailing damage from the April hailstorm on all four properties. The motion to place bids to repair damage for all four properties was made and passed unanimously.
The board reviewed updated documents detailing needed energy-grade repairs/updates to all four properties, provided by Energy Solutions Professionals. The board prioritized the needs but needed additional information relating to cost. The motion to have Sapaugh get additional information to present at the next meeting was made and passed unanimously.
Sapaugh provided the executive director report. Sapaugh discussed the TCM Audit completed by Columbus Organization that resulted in no findings or action plan, the annual Back to School Fair where the board will be purchasing school supplies, and not having the annual End of Summer Bash this year due to the City Pool being closed for repairs.
Sapaugh presented the Scenic River Industries Funding Request from October 2023. The motion was made and passed unanimously to approve the remaining funding for the request totaling $45,640.08.
