According to reports of Missouri’s 42nd Judicial Circuit:
Charges
• Edward D. Puckett was charged in a May 26 complaint with one felony count of failure to register as a sex offender.
• Alexandra J. Blackwell was charged in a May 25 warrant with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Danny L. Perkins was charged in a May 25 complaint with one felony count of driving while revoked/suspended.
• Scott D. Harris was charged in a May 24 complaint of non-support, total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under order of support.
Sentences
• Jeremy Jackson’s sentencing hearing was held May 17 after previously pleading guilty to two felony counts of passing a bad check, four counts of felony forgery, one count of second-degree burglary and two counts of felony stealing as a prior and persistent felony offender for events that occurred in 2021 in Dent County. The state requested Jackson serve a total of 15 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections due to his extensive prior criminal history and creation of victims in the community. Jackson, through his attorney, requested a sentence of a one-year drug rehabilitation program in the department of corrections under Missouri Statute 217.362. The court ordered a 15-year sentence, but retained jurisdiction under 217.362, as requested by the defendant, and over the objection of the state and Prosecutor Andrew Curley.

John Hewkin has been a sports fan since he was a kid. He’s played, coached and been a fan of sports. I was a sports writer for 15 years before moving back to Missouri, but to this day you will still find me in my man cave a lot of nights and weekends watching something that requires a ball.
