The Dent-Phelps R-III school board met Nov. 17 for its regular meeting. Present were Brandon Schloemer, Caleb Gidcumb, Adam Parker, Kelly Chapman, Nick Gover, Bill Manthey, Vicky Brooker, Curt Baldwin, and Denny Melvin.
The board approved the agenda, consent agenda containing checks, October minutes, and the November financial report. Gover and Gidcumb abstained.
The budget for 2022-23 was unanimously approved with changes.
Bus route maps were approved, changing from six routes to five.
Public comment was sought for revisions to the Wellness Program Plan. The plan, with changes, was unanimously approved.
An audit report with Ken Schultz, of Schultz, Wood & Rapp, P.C., joined via Zoom to present the 2021-22 Audit Report. The board unanimously approved.
Discussion was held regarding a storage building and privacy fence on the property. The board will receive bids for the project.
Denny Melvin gave the principal’s report. Vicky Brooker gave the superintendent’s report.
After a short break, the board moved to closed session.
