The 11th Annual rodeo is coming to town Labor Day weekend, Saturday, Aug. 30 and Sunday, Aug. 31 located at the Dent County Commons. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. each night with the Rodeo show to begin at 7:30 p.m.
The rodeo will be Executive Chamber Director Catherine Wynn’s debut Chamber event.
"I am excited to be involved with the rodeo again. I was on the board when it began over a decade ago, and it continues to provide quality entertainment to a great crowd each year." Wynn commented. "Emily, the former executive director, and the board executed the planning before I joined the office, and I look forward to seeing big crowds Labor Day weekend. We are wrapping up the final pieces over the next couple of weeks and hope to see you there!"
Rodeo tickets are ready for advance sale from the Chamber Office at 1136 S. Main Street and are available in limited quantities at Bank of Salem, Crossroads Branch; Town & Country Bank, both banks; Riverways Federal Credit Union; or Progressive Ozark Bank.
Advance tickets are available until Friday, Aug. 29. Advance adult tickets are $8 and children’s tickets are $4. Tickets at the gate will be $10 for adults, $5 for children.
The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is still accepting informational booths and vendors for the upcoming rodeo. All entry forms and fees are due no later than Friday, Aug. 29 at noon. No forms will be accepted late. All vendors must complete a vendor form and pay the fee to be set up on the grounds. Businesses and/or non-profit organizations may set up an informational booth under the barn.
