As Missouri’s State Treasurer, I’m proud to join people across our state and nation in celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) this October. This year marks the 80th anniversary of NDEAM—a time to recognize the skills, creativity, and determination that people with disabilities bring to the workplace, and to renew our commitment to opportunity for everyone. It is also a chance to thank employers, families, and communities who encourage people with disabilities to achieve their goals and share their talents.
The 2025 theme, “Celebrating Value and Talent,” highlights how much stronger our workplaces and communities become when we recognize the strengths that people with disabilities bring every day. Their persistence, creativity, and problem-solving skills enrich teams across every field. Across Missouri, people with disabilities are making a difference in every part of our economy. Their ideas and commitment help Missouri move forward and serve citizens more effectively.
