Shots were fired Saturday upon law enforcement responding to a report of an armed intoxicated individual, according to a press release from the Salem Police Department.
The release states a female reported to the Salem Police Department on Saturday her husband was drunk and pointed a loaded firearm at her. She fled the residence and went to the Salem Police Department for help. Deputies from the Dent County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Salem Police Department responded to the residence, located in the 900 block of East First Street, and up a perimeter around the residence.
