COURT REPORT

• Cody Workman was charged in a July 26 with one felony count of driving while revoked/suspended one misdemeanor count of exceeded posted speed limit (exceeded by 6-10 mph) and infraction of driver/front seat passenger fail to wear properly adjusted/fastened safety belt.

Sentences

• Billy Smith III was ordered July 28 to complete five days shock incarceration in the Dent County Jail as a result of a drug test. Smith was on misdemeanor probation stemming from charges of for assault, driving while revoked and leaving the scene of an accident. The state filed motions to revoke Smith’s probation for failing to repay any restitution to the victim in the assault case, failure to report to his probation officer, and use of intoxicants. The motions to revoke were set for hearing on a later date.

• Rolando Solis pled guilty July 28 to felony possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to four years in the department of corrections.
