The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid–Missouri area Aug18– 24, 2025.Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures which could cause delays.
Other moving operations such as pothole patching, mowing, and pavement repairs continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.
All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
Route B –Roadside work planned Aug. 18 – 21. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route U –Pavement repairs planned Aug. 18 – 21. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route BB –Culvert replacement planned Aug. 18 – 21. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
U.S. Route 63 – Pavement improvements continue approximately 1 mile south of Route W. Work is being done by Courtney Construction Company under a MoDOT-issued permit. One lane will remain open with an 11-foot width restriction in place. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2025.
Routes 72 and KK – Pedestrian facility upgrades continue on Route 72 in Rolla and Route KK in St. James. Work will require temporary closures of pedestrian facilities and intermittent single-lane closures with flaggers to direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.
Missouri Route 28 –Bridge rehabilitation scheduled to begin Aug. 18 over I–44 in St. Robert. The bridge will be CLOSED, with a signed detour in place for motorist to take exit 161 (Pulaski County Route Y) or exit 169 (Phelps County Road J). The project is scheduled for completion in October 2025.
Missouri Route 133 – Culvert replacement planned Aug. 18 – 21 from the city limits of Crocker to Route T. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Routes Z and AB – Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone.
MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones.
