Once again, the fellowship hall of the First Baptist Church was the site of Salem’s community blood drive. The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) was pleased to have 41 donors register to give blood on May 10. Of those registered, 36 units of blood were collected. Three individuals donated for the first time and hopefully for many more times in the future. The Mennonite ladies of the Salem Christian Brotherhood Church did an outstanding job of preparing ham salad and tuna salad sandwiches, along with an array of delicious cookies.
