According to reports by the Dent County Sheriff’s Office:
• Deputies responded to County Road 2570 July 9 for a reported altercation. During the course of the investigation, a 74-year-old Lenox man was arrested and transported to the Dent County Jail. The subject was fingerprinted, photographed and placed on a 24-hour-hold pending issuance of formal charges.
• A deputy conducted a traffic stop on S. Hwy. 19 on July 9. During the stop, a 28-year-old Salem female was arrested on multiple active warrants. In addition, a 42-year-old Houston man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Both subjects were transported to the Dent County Jail, where she was incarcerated on her warrants and he was fingerprinted, photographed and released pending issuance of formal charges.
• A deputy responded to American Automotive July 12 for a report of a stolen vehicle. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that unknown suspect(s) entered onto the business property and removed a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse without permission. This investigation is ongoing.
• A deputy arrested a 24-year-old Salem man July 12 on E. Fifth St. for an active warrant. The subject was transported to the Dent County Jail where he was incarcerated on the warrant.
• Deputies conducted a traffic stop on N. Carty St. July 14. During the course of the stop, a 27-year-old Salem woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. She was transported to the Dent County Jail where she was fingerprinted, photographed and released pending issuance of formal charges.
